EDUCATION
2016-2021: Currently, I hold a PhD in Software Engineering from Sharif University of Technology (SUT). SUT is ranked first in the country according to QS ranking. Computer Engineering program is also one of the most competitive programs in SUT and most of the highest-ranking students in the national university entrance exams choose to pursue this program at SUT in the whole country. During my PhD studies, I was a graduate research assistant, teaching assistant, and the ASE lab manager for four years. More specifically, I supervised four master students directly and helped them submit/publish their first research paper.
2012-2014: I also hold a master's degree in Information Technology (IT) Engineering from SUT, supervised by Dr. Mahdi Jalili (currently faculty at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia). I worked at the NIP lab as a graduate research assistant. I studied recommender systems and specifically my focus was on improving the evaluation methods of these algorithms. Our research resulted in 3 papers. After working for two years in the industry, I went back to the academia and started my PhD in 2016.
2008-2012: I was a bachelor's student of IT engineering at the University of Isfahan, Iran. My bachelor's thesis was about the “Automation Reading of Meter Devices and Electronic Bill Issuance”. My research was supervised by Dr. Neda Moghim.
2001-2008: Finally, I was accepted into the most prestigious school discipline in Iran called the National Organization for Development of Exceptionally Talented (NODET/SAMPAD) students through several national entrance exams for both the middle and high school studies. In these exams, less than 1% of applicants were chosen to enter the schools.
